Woodpeckers and joie de vivre

I was reading the newspaper, trying to make sense of disasters, wars, pain, losses and then I saw  this photograph, had to look twice...

see...   this scientist, in his acceptancespeech for the Nobelprize ( so he will be quite a serious scientist)  talking to his audience, wearing a woodpeckers hat...  woodpeckers were his subject of research...
why is it that they do not get a headache while banging their head all the time

Now...the man stole my heart,  explaining serious stuff  with a dignified face while wearing his woodpeckerhat ...   luckily never got rid of the child within,

ok then ...have to go and find my own hat for today ...and thank you for reminding me Mr Schwab !

 now the whole design has become a detail in one's home....

but once again noticed  they're quite willing to tell their stories ...

why it is that  the birds  have collected some interesting stamps ...

while the flowers welcomed  all kind of  interesting characters at their door...

   I almost can hear the waltz music as the grass dances from one side to the other

and then it ends... but then .....  I tell myself ...there is always  another summer to come...

Ever since these boys of mine discovered fastfood I decided,  in order to feed them healthy, I needed to become a clever cook...

Like the Trojan Horse had his secrets,  my hamburgers carry all kinds of unseen healthy stuff in it .......and want a homemade brownie as dessert...? Have to eat the fruit first before you get to the brownie, boy of mine.. ok then get some cream on it..live and let live isn't it... !

These boys are clever but not a clever as the "sneaky" mind of a  clever mum...!

My mind as easygoing as this would be just fine today...thank you...anyway... the idea is nice...

Sincerely hope that all the souls affected by 9/11 in one way or the other will see some liberating , heartwarming colours these days

Spoke to someone today who said that the presence of a beloved painting felt like a  silent enrichment

and I thought that  a marvellous way  to express what beloved objects do...

... they're  silent guests  in my home,  their presence makes a house  my home
