'Wild' plans and patience..

Since years the dress  did not fit anymore ...too much Ben & Jerry's ! Love the fabric so I'm going to turn it into a cushion,  will give me some exercise in patience because  first of all  I have to repair the sewingmachine...

louise bourgeois

In 2004 , well into her nineties,  Louise Bourgeois made 'Ode a l'Oublie' ,
( Ode to the Forgotten )

                                                one of the 36 pages

It is a handmade cloth-book , made from bits and scraps of old linen and garments she had collected through a lifetime .

I love fabrics, especially linen, cotton in their purest form but rich velvets are  favourite as well .
Well-used fabric holds lots of stories and memories,

I cherish my fabrics ...
