This must have been the greyest day since long and cold and rainy as well

so when the boys came home from school wet and hungry as ever  and the situation needed an instant rescue .... an nice  omelet with cheese and basil did the trick ...
very yellow and green and warm and comforting.....!!! Amazing how much they can eat , for them it's just a nice bite...

Their art has a fenomenal voice and beauty to me ! Went to see  some of their works today and the day was coloured with wonder and amazement, quite reluctantly I got back to daily life ( means
getting normal things done, work, making dinner and so on) pfff ...but then again  there were the reallife amazing dogs at home alive and kicking,   luckily without embroidery...  and  more then ready for a walk in the rain...quite a practical way to get grounded again !

at first sight some of them seem just so  nice and lovely and straight out of a fairytale but  another look at them tells things are not what they seem and it gets quite confusing...

A Green Januari Tuesday Today

Today's  green.... a healthy green, a sweet green and a very smooth green.....

Sundaymorning

Sunday in Januari.... a bit of cleaning , a bit of impatience for longer days already, a bit of rearranging stuff in the head.....and 

looking at the old flowers, can't throw them away, old and lovely

 trying to get  the male in the house eat healthy again after the holidays, they think I'm funny...

Wonderful Peter Pan and the lost boys

Walking through Amsterdam , late this afternoon,  and suddenly saw this poster. Amazing colour on a grey day...it announces youththeatrecompany Gnaffel  : "Peter Pan and the lost boys", with puppets mansize .... theme of the play is autism, 

The play is meant for people age 7 +,  simply loved  the  expression on the puppets face and the colours  used for it...... wonderful  craftmanship. ....Shall I go and see it.....Luckily I'm old enough , age 7+...!

Another "treasure"

When we renovated the bathroom , little pieces of this old wallpaper became visible in a closet...in the bathroom of all places...!

Suddenly made me wonder how on earth one can live without wallpaper !!!!  So ...2 months later the house looked quite  different, "wallpapered" so to say ....the rest of the family needed some time to get used to it...! Is that spontaneous behaviour or creating chaos....? Anyway most of it looks very nice ....I think...

and of course the old wallpaper found in the closet got a new place to stay...

It's nice to have a closer look at things ...green and blue make a good couple...

On my walks I look for  broken pieces of porcelain, it started years ago.... I was enjoying a walk in the middle of nowhere  and my eye fell upon a it ..... red hearts on white porcelain, there was a complete trail of it...one wonders....
Since then I found some more..... today walking the dogs in the middle of grey clouds  I had another find....
a very handsome green to light up the day ....

the trick is ....that I must not look for them because then I do not see them....they catch my eye ...that's how it works.......
Anyway todays "treasure "  is great....exactly the right colour for today......!

2012 has begun...

the first flowers in  2012.....

Couldn't help myself...it had to be springflowers........the Hyacinth smell in a way I  start to remember  spring again...t grey weather outside....strange days , these first days in January..                   

and the Grape Hyacinth originally are from the Mediteranean, the shade of  blue tells.....

Black and white ...

2012  will be black and white and all the colours in between........................

luckily one never knows which colour pops up at what time.... , I'll keep looking for them.... but I know they have their own rythm.... they sometimes show up when least expected....
